Nature: Wires Down/Arcing

Location: 32399 River Rd Millsboro, DE 1996

On Tuesday, April 30^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a wire down incident on River Road in the vicinity of Clark & Nanticoke Avenues. It was reported as a vehicle pulled wires down.

Emergency response units included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included cancelled of Engine 80-1 while responding. Traffic control for the duration of the incident, notification of utility service provider and

It appears that a trash truck was traveling down River Road when it got entangled with a low hanging overhead wiring which was a primary residential electric service

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
