Nature: Alarm Sounding

Early Tuesday morning, April 23^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding the Peninsula Clubhouse on Sterling Boulevard.  It was reported to be an alarm sounding in the elevator shaft and foyer area.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included a completed 360 evaluation of the building with location of utilities and no visible issues.  A crew was assigned to perform and interior evaluation as well.

It was determined that there was a faulty detector and the facility was placed on officer’s call for 48 hours.  An emergency responder for the facility was notified of the concern.

All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
