Nature: Medical Emergency

On Thursday, March 21, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist with a medical emergency and requested to establish a landing zoning for the pending aviation unit – Delaware State Police Trooper 2.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included a landing zone establishment near Station #2 off Banks Road.  The aviation unit transported the patient to a medical facility.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.
