Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: 25864 American Av Leisure Point, DE 19966

Early Saturday morning, the March 16th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on American Avenue in the Sun Retreats – Rehoboth Bay development which was formerly known as Leisure Point off Long Neck Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-3 and Command 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior 360 evaluation to identify conditions and location of utilities as well as an interior evaluation to identify the source of the alarm sounding after entry was made.

It was determined that there was not any visible sign of concern and the issue was faulty detectors advising the homeowners to update their detectors and batteries.

All units were authorized to return to quarters.
