Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: 34528 Sipple Dr Walden, DE 19951

On Monday morning, the March 11th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on Sipple Piping Drive in the Walden development off Holly Mount Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior 360 evaluation to identify conditions and location of utilities as well as an interior evaluation to identify the source of the alarm sounding after entry was made.

It was determined that the homeowner was not home and there was not any visible sign of concern.  Efforts in conjunction with the neighbors provided access to the residential structure for evaluation.  There was not any concern and the home was secured pending arrival of the homeowner.

All units were authorized to return to quarters.
