Nature: Outside Fire

Location: Hersel Davis Rd and Oak Orchard Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday, February 16^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist DNREC with an illegal burning incident on Hersel Davis Road. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included suppression of the illegal burn activities as requested by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control Officers on location.   Engine

It appears that the property occupants were attempting to clear and burn wood and tree materials which was considered illegal via DNREC.   DNREC requested the full extinguishment of the burning materials.

The DNREC Agents are investigating.
