On Thursday afternoon, February 8^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a residential alarm sounding at the rear of the residential structure. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior 360 evaluation to identify conditions and location of utilities as well as an interior evaluation to identify the source of the alarm sounding.

After evaluation, it was determined to be a faulty detector and all units were placed in-service and available to return at their pleasure.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control during the incident.
