Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: 34270 Westwood Dr N Pot Nets Creekside, DE 19966

On Sunday evening, February 4th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a carbon monoxide detector incident on Westwood Drive North, in the Pot Nets Creekside development.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine 80-3 from the Long Neck facility, and 80 Command from the Long Neck area.

Emergency response crew assignments included an evaluation of the interior of the structure with gas detectors. There were no readings of carbon monoxide within the residence, however it discovered there was an issue with the home heating furnace. The residents were advised to contact a licensed repairman to service the system.

The residential structure was turned back over to the occupants and no further services were needed.

All apparatus were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
