Nature:  Warming Our Community Event

Location:  Station #2 – Long Neck

On Saturday, February 3th, the Auxiliary of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hosted a community outreash effort to help others keep warm during this winter as well as promoting fire prevention. 

This endeavor was hosted at our Station #2 facility and offered a variety of free commodities that included but not limited to:  blankets, hats, gloves, socks, food (hot dogs, hot chocolate, bottled water) as well as fire prevention informtion and smoke detectors. 

This activity was sponsored by the Auxiliary of the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and our organizations would like to acknowledge our corporate and community partners that assisted and contributed with this event with a special "thank you" to the Boys & Girls Club of Oak Orchard and Beth Houseman for their contributions and efforts during the event.
