Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Indian Mission Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday evening, January 28^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at the Indian Mission Road intersection. It was reported to be a vehicle collision with both drivers complaining of injuries.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency response alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery, and overall incident mitigation. 

It appears that a black Honda Civic and a silver Honda Civic collided at the intersection causing front end damage to both vehicles which were rendered inoperable.  All vehicle occupants refused additional emergency medical services.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
