Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: Hollymount Rd and Beaver Dam Rd Harbeson, DE 19951

On Friday, January 26^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Hollymount Road and Beaver Dam Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision with the possibility of two patients.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics. Two ambulances were requested to the incident location.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery and overall incident mitigation. 

It appears that a tan Toyota Solara coupe and a white Ford Edge SUV collided at the intersection causing front-end damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident. A segment of Beaver Dam Road between Indian Mission Road and Hollymount Road was closed during the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
