Nature: Inclement Weather Duty Crew Tasks

Location: Station #1 – Oak Orchard Facility

 

On Friday evening, January 19th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company coordinated an inclement weather duty crew with specific assignments to be coordinated and performed at the Station #1 in Oak Orchard while being available for emergency response.

The designated Duty Crew is a contingency of volunteers that provide assistance and completed assignments that were associated with apparatus and equipment preparation to remain in-service as well as being prepared to respond to emergency incidents during a designated time period.  

There were approximately 19 volunteers that participated in the duty crew activities reviewing apparatus and equipment. There were a total of four emergency incidents which kept these volunteers busy throughout the evening. These alarms were two AFAs and two vehicle accidents as illustrated below:
