Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 26638 North Rim Rd Pots Nets Bayside, DE 19966

On Wednesday, January 10^th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), and Millsboro (83) were alerted for a residential structure fire on North Rim Road in the Pot Nets Bayside development.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior and interior evaluation which identified a smoke condition but not any fire with further evaluation being performed.  Crews assisted with ventilation after determining that the issue was associated with the HVAC system.

It was reported that the house was filling with smoke from the kitchen area which dissipated when the doors were opened.  After evaluation, it was determined to be the HVAC system.  The homeowner was advised to contact their HVAC repair representative.

All emergency response units were authorized to return to their respective stations.
