Nature: Medical Emergency – Carbon Monoxide Concern

Early Wednesday morning, January 10th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the local emergency medical services (Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and Sussex County Paramedics) with possible carbon monoxide incident on River Edge Road in the Stonewater Creek development.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior and interior evaluation, natural ventilation was already in process upon arrival of fire company personnel, there were not any meter readings and all conditions were favorable.

The residential structure was turned back over to the home occupants and no further services were needed.

All apparatus was permitted to return to their respective quarters.
