Nature: Structure Fire

Location: Hydrant @ Lakeshore Blvd & Creekwood Circle

Address:  26592 Creekwood Circle Pot Nets Lakeside, DE 19966

On Sunday evening, January 7^th, the Indian River (80), Millsboro (83) and Lewes (82) were alerted for a residential structure fire on Lakeshore Boulevard in the Pot Nets Creekside development off Long Neck Road.  The reporting person heard a popping sound outside and can see the utility box on the east side of house on fire.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics.

Emergency response crews from Indian River performed an initial incident size up with 360 walk around and found the main utility service burnt up and reduced the emergency assignment to Indian River units on-scene.  Efforts to further isolate and shut off the electrical service was initiated.  An interior evlauation was coordinated as well.  The utility service provider was notified and requested to respond to the incident location.

All remaining units were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
