Over the past two days, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for two different evaluator rescue incidents within the immediate fire district.  The first incident was at Baywoods Clubhouse which required extrication assistance and the second incident was at Carillon Woods Apartments which requested assistance.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included facility evaluation and assistance with getting the occupant(s) out of the respective elevator car.

Each facility was notified to contact their elevator repair contractors for a service evaluation.
