Thursday December, 14 2023Nature: Annual Holiday Play & Dinner Tradition Event - Nana's KidsLocation: Oak OrchardOn Thursday evening, December 14th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in conjunction with the Community Church of Oak Orchard provided an evening of entertainment, fun, and dinner for the respective families of the Oak Orchard-Riverdale Boys & Girls Club.Initially, the children participated in an entertainment play at the Community Church of Oak Orchard.Then the families were able to pick-up a fully prepared spaghetti & meatball dinner with salad for the entire family to take home for dinner. These meals were fully prepared by the members of the Ladies Auxiliary and packaged in conjunction with volunteers from the fire company and Boys & Girls Club staff. The Ladies Auxiliary prepared approximately 240 dinners for the event.A special appearance was provided by Santa who handed out candy canes during the drive thru pick up event.Illustrated herewith are pictures of the evening’s activities.Merry Christmas to everyone!
