Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: 30593 Phillips Branch Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday morning, December 5^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Phillips Branch Road.  It was reported to be a single vehicle off the roadway into the wooded area.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Incident Command from the Long Neck area and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River and Sussex County Paramedics were cancelled upon arrival of Indian River’s Incident Command.

It appears that a silver Chevrolet Pick Up failed to successfully navigate the sharp curve and ran into the wooded area. 

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
