Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Indian Mission Rd and Silicato Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday afternoon, November 27^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road at Silicato Drive near Long Neck.  It was reported to be a two-vehicle collision with possible injuries.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines #80-1 and 80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, assistance with patient stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery as well as overall incident mitigation. 

It appears that that a Toyota RAV4 and a KIA Seltos collided on Indian Mission Road near Silicato Drive rendering both vehicles inoperable.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control with the closure of Indian Mission Road for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
