Nature: Vehicle Accident

On Monday morning, November 27^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of Harry’s Hardware.  It was reported to be a multiple vehicle collision with unknown extent of injuries.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engines #80-1 and 80-3 as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency response alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, patient stabilization where needed and vehicle stabilization.

It appears that a silver Dodge Magnum, green Subaru Outback, and a white Toyota C-HR collided on Long Neck Road causing damage to all vehicles and backing up traffic on Long Neck Road.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
