Tuesday October, 17 2023Nature: Fire Prevention ActivitiesLocation: Long Neck Elementary SchoolOn Tuesday, October 17th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in collaboration with the Long Neck Elementary School commenced with our annual fire prevention program offering fire prevention educational and safety initiatives to enhance awareness.These activities commenced with a smoke hour educational instructional exercise, hose handling exercise and shooting a target with firefighters instructing Grades 3-5.Each group of children had an opportunity to evaluate and review the apparatus with a brief presentation regarding the operational need and purpose of the equipment.Illustrated herewith are few photographs to highlight the events of the day. |
