Monday October, 16 2023Nature: Fire Prevention ActivitiesLocation: Long Neck Elementary SchoolOn Monday, October 16th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in collaboration with the Long Neck Elementary School commenced with our annual fire prevention program offering fire prevention educational and safety initiatives to enhance awareness.These activities commenced with a classroom visit by firefighters geared towards grades Kindergarten thru Second Grade. These activities were to “Meet Your Firefighter” and introduce children to a fully geared firefighter.Each group of children had an opportunity to evaluate and review the apparatus with a brief presentation regarding the operational need and purpose of the equipment.Illustrated herewith are few photographs to highlight the events of the day. |
