Nature: Shed (Non-Vehicle Size)

Location: 27796 Avalon Dr Avalon Park, DE 19947

On Thursday afternoon, September 21^st, the Indian River (80) Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist Millsboro (83) Fire Company with a working shed fire on Avalon Drive.  It was reported to be a smoker on fire next to a shed and not near the house.  The shed was reported to be on fire as well.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments were to assist Millsboro with fire suppression, overhaul and clean up where needed.

It appears that a shed like structure caught fire and the fire spread into nearby brush.  The fire was quickly brought under control cancelling ingoing apparatus except Millsboro units and Engine #80-3.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating.
