Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: Creek Dr., Winding Creek Village, DE 19966

On Monday, September 18th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on Creek Drive in the Winding Creek development.  It was reported to be a second floor smoke detector activation.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior evaluation and was able to locate a keyholder that responded to provide access to the residential structure.  It was determined to be a faulty detector.

All respective apparatus was permitted to return to their respective quarters.
