Nature: Trash Fire

On Thursday September 14^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a reported trash fire on Cordrey Road. The incident was reported by a Sussex County Constable who was in the area.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Brush 80-0 and Engine 80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response assignments included saturation of the illegal trash materials and notification to the homeowner of the state laws regarding control burns.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic until all apparatus could return.
