Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Long Neck Rd and Radie Kay Lane Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday evening, September 8^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company and Mid Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of Radie Kay Lane.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision with one vehicle in the roadway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Incident Command from the Oak Orchard area and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, and incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a brown GMC Terrain SUV and a silver Honda Civic were traveling on Long Neck Road when the accident occurred.  The Terrain has left rear damage and the Civic right front damage which rendered the vehicle inoperable. One person was transported to nearby medical facilities.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control with the closure of Long Neck Road until the traffic lanes could be cleared.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
