Nature: Alarms - Residential (Single) - Smoke detector

Location: HYD ACROSS STREET

Address: 30281 Piping Plover Dr Peninsula Lakes, DE 19966

On Monday, September 4^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a residential smoke detector activation on Piping Plover Drive in the Peninsula Lakes development.  It was a residential activation and after speaking with the residential occupants the fire department was requested to continue responding.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Incident Command and Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an interior and exterior evaluation of the residential structure.

It appears that the smoke detectors were going off within the residential structure as a result of a faulty detector and the residential occupants were so notified.

All units were permitted to clear the incident and return to their respective station.
