Nature: Alarm Sounding

On Saturday, September 2^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on Barefoot Boulevard in the Peninsula off Bay Farm Road.  It was reported that smoke detectors were going off inside the house.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Incident Command and Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an interior and exterior evaluation of the residential structure.

It appears that the smoke detectors were going off within the residential structure as a result of a faulty detector and the residential occupants were so notified.

All units were permitted to clear the incident and return to their respective station.
