Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: 33888 Great Lakes St Leisure Point, DE 19966

On Saturday, August 19^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Great Lakes Street in Leisure Point.  It was reported to be a golf cart versus as vehicle.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control and debris clean up where needed.

It appears that a golf cart and a white Chevrolet Traverse collided in the Leisure Point development.  One person was transported to nearby medical facilities for additional evaluation.

The Delaware State Fire Police participated with keeping traffic flow progressing.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
