Nature: Structure Fire

Location: Hydrant on 24 in front of Dollar General

Address:  26206 Tucks Rd Sherwood Forest North, DE 19966

On Wednesday afternoon, August 16^th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82) and Millsboro (83) fire companies were alerted for a residential structure fire on Tucks Road in the Sherwood Forest North development John J. Williams Highway.  It was reported to be smoke condition inside the residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident evaluation and investigation to identify the source of the smoke, completed an exterior and interior evaluation, pursued a crawl space evaluation and monitored the interior conditions.  The source of the incident and smoke condition could not be identified.

All responding personnel assisted with the interior and external and could not identify any concern with odors and smoke.  All responding units were permitted to return to their respective stations.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control at the entrance to the development.
