Nature: Residential Structure Fire – Assist Lewes

On Saturday afternoon,  August 12^th , the Indian River (80). Milton (85), and Rehoboth Beach (86( fire departments were alerted to assist the Lewes (82) Fire Department with a residential structure fire on Broadfield Plantations Road in the Plantations development off of Plantation Road. It was reported to be a fire on the front porch area of the home with a canine still inside.

Emergency response from Indian River included Engine 80-3 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency responder assignments included fire suppression, canine search and rescue, overhaul and ventilation.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.

Traffic control was coordinated by the Delaware State Fire Police.
