Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: 26800 John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday evening, August 12^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Co., Inc. was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in the vicinity of Piaffe Lane.  It was reported to be a two vehicle rear end type collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engines #80-1 and #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization where needed, assistance with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control, and fluid and debris recovery.

It appears that a white Chrysler Pacifica mini-van was struck from behind by a white Chevrolet Corvette.  The occupant of the mini-van desired to be evaluated by emergency medical responders.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
