Nature:  Elected Officials Constituent Coffee Event

Location:  Station 1 - Oak Orchard

On Saturday, August 12, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company provided a venue for Delaware State Representative Jeff Hilvosky and Delaware State Senator Brian Pettyjohn to hold a Constituent Coffee Event and to solicit community interaction and input for their respective election districts. 

The event commenced at 9 AM and approximately 40 persons were in attendance to discuss local issues with their elected officials constituent, August 12, 2023.

Thank you to everyone who joined Representative Jeff Hilovsky and me for coffee Saturday morning, and thank you to the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company for hosting us!

For those that missed it, we covered a lot, but the conversation quickly centered around DNREC's proposed EV mandate and the concerns many in the room had. With the passage of House Bill 123 on June 30th, it's clear there is bipartisan concern about the mandate amongst the legislators, as well.

Please contact your senator about both HB 123 and SB 96, especially as we get closer to January, and ask that they support the proposals.
