Nature: Structure Fire

On Thursday morning, August 10^th, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82) and Millsboro (83) fire companies were alerted for a structure fire on Branch Road near Long Neck.  The fire was reported in the oven and spreading. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue and Sussex County Paramedics. 

Emergency response crew assignments included incident evaluation and identification of the situation.  The initial arriving apparatus identified it to be a culinary mishap with the oven fire being extinguished.  All other responding apparatus were cancelled and assistance with positive pressure ventilation was initiated for the residential occupants.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control during the incident.
