Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Bay Farm Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday afternoon, August 2^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway and Bay Farm Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Millsboro Emergency Medical Services.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, assistance with patient stabilization if needed.   A portion of Bay Farm Road was closed for the duration of the incident.

It appears that a maroon Ford Escape and a black Ford Explorer collided at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Bay Farm Road causing front end to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
