Nature: Vehicle Accident (Property Damage Only)

Location: Hollymount Rd Harbeson, DE 19951

On Monday morning, July 31^st, as the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was returning from an earlier alerted vehicle accident at the Indian Mission Road and Hollymount Road intersection it came upon another incident on Hollymount Road.

Since this was considered a property damage incident with no personal injuries there was no fire or EMS response required; however, Rescue 80 did stop and render assistance with disconnecting the battery from the vehicle to stopping the beeping horn of the impacted vehicle.   Traffic control assistance was tendered as well.

It appears that a Ford utility van left the roadway for an unknown reason striking a tree.  The occupant of the vehicle did not require any EMS services.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
