Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Banks Rd and Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday afternoon, July 29th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of Schol Lane and Banks Road for a multiple vehicle chain reaction type collision. Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included assistance with patient stabilization if needed, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control with limited traffic lanes of Long Neck Road for the duration of the incident.

It appears that a Chrysler Mini-Van struck the rear of a Mazda CX-7 which hit a Jeep Renegade causing front and rear damage to the middle vehicle.  All occupants refused additional EMS observations.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
