Nature: Wires Down/Arcing

On Saturday morning, July 29^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a wires down incident on John J. Williams Highway between Holly Lake Road and Sandpiper Drive.  It was reported to be wires across the entire roadway with cars continuing to cross over the downed wires.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Incident Command 80 from the Oak Orchard area and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck area as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included traffic control, disconnection and removal of the down cable television wiring.

All emergency response units were authorized to clear the incident upon removal of the wiring.
