Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: Bayshore Dr and Long Neck Rd Bayshore, DE 19966

On Tuesday, July 25^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Bayshore Drive off Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be a vehicle in a stormwater management retention pond with the occupant standing on top.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Incident Command 80 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard area and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics.

Emergency response personnel provided traffic control, offered patient assessment assistance, and incident mitigation services before being released from the incident location.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
