Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: 32260 Overlook Ct Long Neck Shores, DE 19966

On Wednesday morning July 19^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm in the Long Neck Shores development off Bay Farm Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an interior and exterior evaluation of the residential structure as well as an investigation of the cause for the alarm. Through conversation with the homeowner, it was determined to be inattentive cooking.

The homeowner required no additional assistance and all units returned to their respective stations.
