On Sunday morning, July 16^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm incident at Long Neck Apartments on River Bend Road. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an interior and exterior evaluation, gas detector monitoring and readings, and overall incident mitigation efforts. The building maintenance personnel were requested to respond to the incident location as well.  There were not any gas utilities, appliances or equipment utilized in the facility.

The incident was turned over to the building maintenance personnel and fire apparatus was authorized to return.
