Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Indian Mission Rd and Silicato Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday, July 7^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road at Silicato Drive.  It was identified to be a multiple vehicle incident with unknown status of injuries.

As emergency response units were departing the previous alarm incident at Weis Markets, they were notified of a vehicle accident.  Additional emergency response units included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River were Engine #80-1, Tower 80 and Tanker 80 from the Nanticoke Crossing Shopping Center.

It appears that a silver Buick Lacrosse sedan and Chevrolet Avalanche pick-up collided and struck the Chevrolet Silverado Pick Up.  Both the Lacrosse and the Avalanche were rendered inoperable.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident with lane restrictions of Indian Mission Road.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
