Nature: Vehicle Accident

Address:  Long Neck Rd and Goose Pond Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday evening, June 6^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in the vicinity of the entrance to Rehoboth Shores.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 and Brush 80-0 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, assistance with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control and overall incident mitigation.

It appears that a maroon Subaru Impreza and a silver Hyundai Sonata were traveling on Long Neck Road when the Subaru attempted to turn into the residential development when the collision occurred.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.  Traffic patterns along Long Neck Road were restricted for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
