Nature: Structure Fire

Location: 28520 Cerise Lane Millsboro, DE 19966

Early Saturday morning, June 3^rd, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), and Millsboro (83) fire companies were alerted for a structure fire on Cerise Lane in the Oak Orchard area.  Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to have smoke throughout the structure with an outlet in the living area on fire.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80, Chief 80-15, and Incident Command 80 from the Oak Orchard area, Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. 

Emergency response crew assignments included evaluation and investigation to ascertain cause, downgrading of the incident to cancel all unnecessary emergency response apparatus, ventilation of the residential structure and incident mitigation.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided direction for incoming apparatus and traffic control where needed.

The incident was reviewed with the property owner.
