Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Banks Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday, June 2^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway near the intersection of Banks Road.  It was reported to be a two-vehicle accident with at least one vehicle occupant desiring to be evaluated by emergency medical services (EMS).

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.   Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included traffic control, vehicle stabilization if needed, and incident mitigation.

It appears that a blue Hyundai SUV and a black Nissan pick up collided in the area of John J. Williams Highway and Banks Road causing minor damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
