Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and White Pine Dr Pines At Long Neck, DE 19966

On Friday morning, June 2^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway at White Pine Drive for a vehicle accident involving two vehicles. Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew from the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization where needed, fluid and debris recovery, assistance with patient stabilization if needed, traffic control for the duration of the incident. 

It appears that gray Ford Edge and black Dodge pick-up collided at or near the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and White Pine Drive causing damage to both vehicles and rendering the Ford inoperable.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated the closure of eastbound John J. Williams Highway for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
