Thursday, May 25,2023Location: Long Neck Elementary School – Touch-A-Truck CampaignAddress: School Lane, Millsboro, DE 19966On Thursday, May 25th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was invited to participate at the Long Neck Elementary School’s Touch-A-Truck Event.The basic premise is to get a whole bunch of giant trucks, emergency apparatus together in a large parking lot and let kids explore and learn about the respective vehicle as well as enhancing various educational initiatives like fire prevention and fire safety when reviewing the various types of equipment and tools.Indian River’s Engine #80-3 attended the event as did other local emergency responders.Illustrated herewith are some photographs of the event.The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company hereby expresses its gratitude and appreciation for hosting such an event. |
