Nature: Wires Down/Arcing – Traffic Hazzard – Indian Mission Road

Location: 25476 Digger Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday, May 23^rd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a traffic hazard with overhead utility service wiring becoming entangled into a tractor trailer that was accessing the business entranceway.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, and incident mitigation.

It appears that a tractor trailer delivery truck was attempting to access the business driveway when it become entangled within a low hanging utility service wiring.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The respective utility service provider was notified in order to facilitate the necessary repairs.
