Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Indian Mission Rd and John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Sunday afternoon, May 21^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Indian Mission Road and John J. Williams Highway.  The original incident was upgraded from a need for fire police to requesting a fire and EMS response.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Chief 80-15 and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck area as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control with the closure of northbound Indian Mission Road as well as related turn lanes from John J. Williams Highway and limited traffic patterns from southbound Indian Mission Road with no left turning.

It appears that a red Dodge RAM pick up, a grey Dodge Durango, and a blue BMW convertible collided at the approach lanes to the intersection of Indian Mission Road and John J. Williams Highway.  The local EMS responders transported one of the vehicle occupants to the hospital for additional evaluation.

The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
