Nature: Alarms - Commercial Structure

Location: Raas (82) Masalla

Cross Streets: Second St/Kings Hwy

As the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was providing a standby cover up assignment for the Lewes (82) Fire Department, an automatic alarm – commercial structure incident was received.

Tanker 80 was authorized to respond for the incident from the Lewes Station #2 facility. 

The alarm sounding at the commercial structure was determined to be culinary mishap incident based upon an interior evaluation of the facility.

The Delaware State Fire Police assigned to the Lewes Fire Department assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

While Indian River was mitigating the incident, a wedding ceremony was being hosted in an adjacent commercial establishment which requested a photograph with the bride.  Best wishes were offered to bride as well as the requested photographs.

Emergency response units included Engine #80-3 from our Long Neck facility determined the incident was also a culinary mishap.
